Rusticway Chamber Music SeriesThe RusticWay Chamber Music program features the stunning baroque specialists John Moran and Risa Browder. The husband and wife team will perform works of Bach, Corelli, Torelli and others. When: Sunday, February 3, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. John Moran, a native of the Washington, DC area appears regularly as soloist and chamber musician on baroque and classical cello and viola da gamba on both sides of the Atlantic. After a decade in Europe where has appeared regularly with groups such as the Consort of Musicke, English Baroque Soloists, Les Musiciens du Louvre and Ex Cathedra, he returned to America where he has played with the Violins of Lafayette, Capriole, Trio Riot, the Smithsonian Chamber Players and many others. Ms. Browder also began her professional career in Europe with Academy of Ancient Music, English Concert, Les Musiciens du Louvre, Purcell Quartet, and London Baroque, among others. Her interest in historical performance on violin, viola, and viola d’amore has led her to perform as a soloist with the Folger Consort, Washington Bach Consort (concertmaster), Capriole, Boston Bach, Smithsonian Chamber Players, and Rebel. Both are on faculty of the Peabody Conservatory and co-direct the Baltimore Baroque Band.
