I thought I knew every super park in the area, but I just discovered Bluemont Park and it's a gem.
Close by, only 3.5 miles, this park has shade, ample parking, bathrooms and age-appropriate climbing structures divided up by age ranges, 2-5 and 5-12.
The park also has running trailers, bike paths, frisbee golf and practice fields for pick-up games of soccer or baseball.
I had a hard time getting my kiddies to leave after almost 2 hours-I highly recommend it.
