Lake Barcroft Women's Club Annual Home Tour

May 05, 2019 - 10:00am

Please plan to attend the Lake Barcroft Woman’s Club Home Tour on Sunday, May 5, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., to see this year’s fabulous group of homes!

Gerald Hartman’s home at 3607 Whispering Lane was originally a one-room cabin in the 1950’s.  Over time, it has been transformed into a spacious 3-level house with a modern roof line, designed by lake resident architect Pat DiVito.

Moving over beyond the dam, the contemporary custom-built home at 3612 Boat Dock Drive went through several contractors until An Lai bought it three years ago and updated it with a beautifully appointed interior featuring a glass elevator from foyer level up to main level.  There are several master suites tastefully decorated, with a different splash of color for each suite.

Still on the south side of the lake, Bill Baumgartner’s and Christina Biebesheimer’s home at 3814 Lakeview Terrace went through a major renovation more than five years ago, when it was transformed from a traditional rambler to a contemporary home.  Sweeps of wall-to-wall windows open the home’s interior to the lake.

Swinging around to the north side of the lake, Lisa DuBois’ and Phil Headley’s home at 6327 Cavalier Corridor is a custom-crafted home with many thoughtful family-oriented design elements.  And if you’re in need of refreshment, you can take a break at this lovely home, sit down and enjoy home-baked goodies and something cold to drink.

A quick trip along Waterway Drive brings you to John and Susan Kampschror’s spacious lakefront home at 3543 Half Moon Circle, where the kitchen spans the entire width of the house.  Just east of Beach 3, it offers a sweeping view of the lake.  A wrap-around deck and outdoor shower area offer ample outdoor living space.

Finally, you might remember the home at 3415 Fiddlers Green, owned by Phil and Katie Boggs, which required a major rebuild after a large tree fell on it last year.  The rebuild included a raised roofline and wood beams across the ceiling which added height to the house.  The large, modern kitchen, which was renovated three months before the tree incident, was rebuilt to the original design.

Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door on the day of the event.  Contact any Woman’s Club member to purchase tickets, or Trang Gueron at trang.gueron@gmail.com or 703-850-7609 and we’ll arrange to get tickets to you.  Please note that this is an Adult Only event.

This is a fun day and a great chance to chat with fellow neighbors also touring the homes, as well as to meet our featured homeowners.  Let’s make this a spectacular year for our charities!  We look forward to seeing you there!
