Transferring Ownership of Parcel 165 and the Dam to the LBWID Info Session #2
The Board of Directors of the Lake Barcroft Association (LBA) and the Trustees of the Lake Barcroft Watershed Improvement District (LBWID) are recommending transfer of LBA’s ownership of the Dam and the land it sits on (Parcel 165) to the LBWID, the Dam operator and easement holder. The main objectives of the transfer are: (1) to reduce/eliminate the significant liability exposure that LBA has as title owner of the Dam and Parcel 165; and (2) to facilitate potential sources of governmental funding for the upcoming Dam Embankment Armoring Project by the LBWID. The Lake Barcroft homeowners be asked to vote on this important issue of transfer of ownership later this year. Prior to the vote, virtual information sessions will be held to answer questions related to this issue. The second session will now be held in person at the Mason District Government Center at 6507 Columbia Pike on November 3rd from 2 - 4 PM. There will not be an opportunity to join over Zoom so please come in person. If you cannot attend, a video of the meeting will be made available to residents on our website. This will be the final informational session before the community meeting to vote.
- Session #2 – Sunday, November 3rd , 2024, 2:00pm to 4:00pm
