Summer 2025 Watchtower Summary Overview
The 2025 Watchtower Summary Report provides a comprehensive review of all Lake Barcroft Association safety and operations activity from May 1 to September 1, 2025. A total of 695 incidents and 488 calls for service were recorded across all beaches and patrol divisions.
Key findings include:
Enforcement accounted for the majority of incidents (58.6%), primarily related to beach badge access, after-hours trespass, and general warnings.
Patrol activity represented 46% of all calls, highlighting consistent field coverage throughout the summer.
Medical aid incidents were minimal—20 minor and 1 major—indicating strong safety outcomes.
Rescue operations (13 total) and wildlife-related responses (17) remained moderate and well-managed.
Lost & Found and maintenance issues comprised small but routine operational categories.
Environmental monitoring reflected overall healthy lake conditions:
Average water clarity: 2.8 m (Secci Disk)
Average water temperature: 79.7°F
Majority of days (70%) reported green flag water conditions, with only 5% red flags.
Algae and debris reports were infrequent, and most readings showed good to moderate water visibility.
