Trying to purge your garage, basement, attic or storage closets of unwanted items?
In the process of remodeling your kitchen or bathroom and don't need those gently-used or leftover items, like extra tiles, light fixtures and faucets?
Then consider donating them to the Northern Virginia Chapter of Habitat For Humanity which runs a program called Restore.
The Sand Day activities scheduled for today May 14th, 2011 have been postponed due to soggy conditions and a strong chance of thunderstorms. Our rain day is tomorrow, but that too doesn’t look very promising for kid-friendly dry weather activities. Please stay tuned for more information!
Best regards,
Mark Cavich and the Sand Day Crew

There are the typical stand-by gifts, such as plants, flowers, candles and beauty products, but if you really want to honor Mom this year with a gift that is memorable, try giving her something that is not expensive or consumable; something that will not dry up and die and something that you can enjoy together.
